I wanted to remember all of the “fun” we’re having with our precocious princess and all of her adventures. Samantha (Sammi) is two and a half, looks like a five year old and acts like a teen aged two year old. She is extremely precocious (Manifesting or characterized by unusually early development or maturity) and way too independent. Sammi has a “baby butter” as she affectionately called him when he joined our family. His name in Dade and is on his way to becoming the precocious prince. They adore each other, wonderful siblings so far. Our newest adventure with Sammi is bedtime. We never had much trouble putting her to sleep, but just this week she started screaming uncontrollably to not go to sleep. We have been up until midnight fighting with her many nights this week. There is nothing that has worked except letting her fall asleep with myself in our bed. When Phillip (my husband) goes to bed he has to put her lying on the floor on the side of him. She refuses to sleep in her own room, heck she’s refusing to spend any time in her room and we have a strict rule of no kids sleeping in our bed. So she sleeps on a mat on the floor. Hopefully she’ll grow out of this phase and begin some other crazy adventure.
